Norwalk, Los Angeles County
Norwalk was founded in the 1870s by the Sproul brothers, who gave land for a railroad depot to bring trains through their property. It remained a dairy and farm town until after World War II and became a city in 1957. The Hargitt House, a Victorian home built in 1891, is kept as a museum of those early years.
